Our Engineering Strategy & Architecture team partners with clients to align technology strategy, enterprise architecture, cloud adoption, and operating models with business objectives—shaping technology-enabled transformations that deliver measurable outcomes. We lead with insight and pragmatism, translating ambition into executable roadmaps, robust architectures, and value-focused delivery models.

You will join a collaborative, high-performing team that values innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning. As a Senior Consultant, you will lead workstreams, coach juniors, and remain a hands-on delivery contributor within advisory-led programmes.

What will your typical day look like?
You will collaborate with clients and Deloitte teams to design strategies, operating models, and architecture roadmaps that unlock business value. You will leverage Generative AI responsibly day-to-day, applying Deloitte’s guardrails and frameworks to ensure trustworthy outcomes.
Project Delivery
- Lead a workstream, shaping technology strategies and enterprise/solution architectures into executable roadmaps, value cases, and KPIs.
- Facilitate design decisions across cloud, data, integration, security, and GenAI—balancing feasibility, risk, compliance, and speed-to-value.
- Build and present business cases (TCO/NPV/ROI), including options, scenarios, and considerations; make clear, evidence-based recommendations.
- Support with scoping and management of projects throughout their delivery lifecycle.
- Participate and support with establishing and running governance for design and implementation work to de-risk execution.
- Business Development
- Co-develop pursuit strategies and stakeholder maps; contribute value hypotheses aligned to client priorities and sector trends.
- Lead RFP/RFQ responses with support from senior team members, crafting win themes, storylines, estimates, and orals materials that articulate clear outcomes.
- Produce thought leadership and perspectives on technology strategy, cloud modernisation, and responsible GenAI; present to client leaders.
- Engage alliance partners to shape differentiated solutions and accelerators; curate relevant assets and references for pursuits.
Core Consulting Capabilities
- Proposal Writing: Lead RFP/RFQ responses with the support of senior team members; craft win themes and coordinate inputs to produce tailored, high quality, value-led proposals.
- Financial Modelling (ROI/TCO): Build and review business cases with TCO/NPV/ROI, scenario and considerations, and value realisation plans.
- Strategic Thinking: Translate business strategy into actionable technology roadmaps, investment priorities, and measurable outcomes.
- Communication & Facilitation: Design and run structured workshops; synthesise complex topics into executive-ready narratives and storyboards.
- Problem Solving: Use hypothesis-driven methods; test with data; frame trade-offs; synthesise clear, evidence-based and outcome-focused recommendations.
- Stakeholder Management: Map and manage stakeholders; drive alignment; build strong relationships.
Technical Capabilities
- Delivery Management: Own workstream plans, scope, and schedule; maintain RAID; run ceremonies; ensure quality and sign-offs.
- Architecture Design: Develop capability models; perform architecture assessments; design current/future states, solution patterns, and integration contracts; define non-functional requirements and traceability.
- Cloud Platforms Knowledge: Apply AWS/Azure/GCP services and landing zones to client scenarios; balance cost, performance, and security; understand FinOps considerations.
- Data, Integration, and Security: Shape data platform and integration strategies (API-led, event-driven); zero-trust and privacy-by-design; align with regulatory obligations.
- GenAI & Automation: Apply responsible AI governance, model/agent and RAG patterns, prompt/control patterns, and platform enablement to safely scale use cases.
Domain Exposure
- Experience in one or more sectors such as financial services, energy and utilities, public sector, health, consumer, or TMT, ideally including regulated environments.
Nice-to-have
- Certifications: TOGAF or equivalent architecture, AWS/Azure/GCP associate or professional, and foundational AI/ML or Responsible AI credentials.
- Tooling: Architecture tooling (e.g., LeanIX, Orbus), cloud design tooling, Jira/Confluence, value-modelling tools, and high proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Methods: Familiarity with SAFe/Agile delivery concepts and frameworks, FinOps, DevOps/Platform Engineering practices, and cost-optimisation approaches.
