The Framework Design team within Defensive Data and AI exists to empower people to responsibly use data and AI in a way that is safe, compliant and scalable. What role will you play?

In your role, you will help shape and embed Macquarie's data and AI governance frameworks, ensuring they are consistent, practical and aligned across areas such as data quality, privacy, retention and classification. You will manage review cycles, engage with stakeholders and develop clear guidance that supports effective and proportionate implementation.

Working closely with teams across risk, compliance, legal, technology and operations, you will help meet regulatory and policy expectations, monitor emerging data and AI risks, and translate these into meaningful updates. Your work will also support governance forums and senior leaders through well-crafted materials and insights, and contribute to measuring how effectively frameworks are adopted and applied across the organisation.

What you offer

  • Experience in in areas such as data governance, data management, AI governance or technology risk, ideally within a large or complex organisation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams, levels and technical backgrounds
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data, AI and risk concepts into clear, accessible language
  • Experience in governance, framework design, policy, standards or risk management, ideally within a large or complex organisation
  • A structured and analytical approach, with a focus on practical outcomes and sustainable implementation
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
