The Lead Data Scientist role is central to shaping and delivering the organisation’s strategy through advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI.

Your role:
This position drives the development of innovative, data-driven solutions that enhance operational efficiency, support business growth, and improve customer outcomes. The role involves leading and developing a data science team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and ensuring effective use of technology resources to deliver impactful solutions. The Lead Data Scientist reports to the Head of Technology for Data, Analytics, and Platforms and manages a team whose capability development is a key part of the role.

Experience needed:

• Proven experience leading data science projects 
• Proven experience leading AI projects that bring value to organisations
• Forecasting 
• Statistical modelling 
• Technical experience across AWS, Snowflake, Python. Github
• Experience with leading or supporting junior data scientist 

Nice to have:

• Energy experience 
• Retail forecasting experience
