The Role

We are seeking an Analyst – Data Analytics to join our Financial Crime Solutions team. This role supports the execution of data analytics and data science initiatives across Crown’s Financial Crime function. You will work closely with Financial Crime Operations, Risk teams, and internal technology/data teams to gather requirements, analyse data, and apply advanced techniques to deliver insights that enhance decision-making.

Some responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Support day-to-day data analytics and visualization activities for transaction monitoring programs, including detection strategy coding, development, and testing.
  • Assist with ad hoc customer and transaction analysis to support Financial Crime operations and risk teams.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for operational support.
  • Apply data science techniques to design and build AI models that improve detection capabilities and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs, document requirements, and deliver reporting solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, completeness, and accuracy in all activities.
  • Comply with all relevant legislation, policies, and Crown standards, including Responsible Service of Gaming and Responsible Gambling Code of Conduct.

  • Practical experience in data analytics tools, risk scoring methodologies, and MI reporting.
  • Knowledge of data science techniques and their application.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively.
  • Experience or familiarity with SQL, Python, Power BI, and Google Cloud Platform (from work, university, or personal projects).
  • Exposure to building basic AI or machine learning models.
  • Degree (or currently studying) in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
  • Ability to obtain required Casino Employee Licences.
