Nanosonics is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Machine Learning & Data Engineering to lead our enterprise data, analytics and AI capabilities as we continue to accelerate our digital transformation journey.

Reporting to the CIO, you will define and execute our Data & AI strategy, build scalable cloud-based data platforms, and lead the development of machine learning solutions that drive innovation, operational excellence and business growth across our global organisation.

This is a highly visible leadership role, partnering with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities where data, analytics and AI can create meaningful business value while ensuring strong governance, security and compliance.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute Nanosonics' Data, Analytics and AI strategy aligned to our business objectives.
• Lead the design and operation of scalable enterprise data platforms and machine learning capabilities.
• Drive the delivery of advanced analytics, AI and machine learning solutions across the organisation.
• Establish best practice data governance, MLOps, security and compliance frameworks.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Analytics professionals.
• Partner with senior leaders to develop business cases, prioritise investments and deliver measurable outcomes.

About You

You are a strategic technology leader with deep expertise in data platforms, analytics and machine learning, combined with a strong track record of delivering business value through technology. You will bring:

• 10+ years' experience leading enterprise Data, Analytics, AI or Machine Learning functions.
• Proven experience building cloud-based data platforms, preferably within AWS environments.
• Strong leadership experience developing high-performing technical teams and managing strategic vendor relationships.
• Expertise across data engineering, advanced analytics, machine learning and data governance.
• Experience operating within complex, global organisations and influencing senior stakeholders.

Experience within healthcare, MedTech or other regulated industries will be highly regarded.
