Job Profile

Reporting to the Director Data & Information Governance, this role will engage and collaborate with the Lotterywest PRIS Champions, through consultation processes with stakeholders to develop plans and processes to ensure Lotterywest meets its compliance obligations related to Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing Legislation (PRIS) and WA Government Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy and Assurance Framework. The role collaborates across all functions of the business to ensure awareness across stakeholders and appropriate governance is embedded across all products and processes.

The role has the following key areas of focus:

  • Privacy Management – Leads the adoption of processes and practices to support information handling practices and safeguards and implement privacy-by-design strategies in line with Privacy & Responsible Information Sharing Act 2024.
  • Data Ethics – Define and enforce ethical guidelines for data collection, storage, and usage including the review AI/ML models for bias, fairness, and transparency. Advise on ethical implications of emerging technologies and data practices.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) Governance – Coordinate and support the management of AI governance, including the implementation of policies, processes, structures, and defined roles and responsibilities to mitigate risk in accordance with the WA Government Artificial Intelligence Policy & Assurance Framework.
  • Information Security – Support internal security teams and provide oversight and assurance of cyber security technical controls within solutions and services, to ensure compliance and mitigate risk to Lotterywest information assets.
  • Security, Risk, Audit & Compliance – Ensuring Lotterywest’s information assets are appropriately secured, by providing oversight and coordination of privacy and AI risk assessment processes, including monitoring, reviewing, reporting compliance and addressing areas of exposure.
