Enjoy true flexibility: work in a hybrid setup from our South Australia or Queensland offices, or embrace full remote freedom from anywhere in Australia

Work with modern tech including AI, Power BI, SQL and Python to solve real business problems

Shape how risk is managed through insights, automation and process improvement

Be part of a team embracing change, bringing new technology into a forward-thinking organisation

About the role:

Are you passionate about data, innovation, and using technology to solve real business problems?

Join our Group Risk team as a Risk Analytics & AI Enablement Specialist, where you'll help shape the future of how risk is understood, managed, and improved across the bank.

This is a dynamic role within an innovation-focused team—ideal for someone who thrives on change, enjoys continuous learning, and wants to make a tangible impact through data, automation, and AI.

You'll support senior team members across both project and BAU initiatives while helping deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that enhance risk management. Working within a dynamic innovation team, you'll apply a mix of analytics, coding, AI tools, and process improvement to drive meaningful outcomes across Group Risk.

  • Build dashboards and data assets (Power BI, SQL, Python) to generate actionable insights
  • Develop and implement AI-driven solutions, including Copilot tools, chatbots, and automation
  • Analyse, map, and improve business processes through simplification and automation
  • Support risk analysis across financial and non-financial risk domains
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Group Risk and the broader bank to deliver improvements
  • Manage your own workload and project delivery, tracking progress in Jira
  • Contribute to BAU risk monitoring, emerging risk assessments, and continuous learning while ensuring compliance and safe work practices

About You

You're naturally curious, adaptable, and energised by change. You enjoy learning new technologies and applying them to solve real business problems that make a difference. You're equally comfortable working independently and collaborating with others, and you build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience in data analytics with strong problem-solving capability
  • Proficiency in coding, ideally in SQL and Python
  • Experience developing dashboards (preferably in Power BI)
  • A genuine interest in innovation and emerging technologies
  • An understanding of AI models and their application within a banking or risk environment
  • Recent completion of certifications or qualifications in data analytics, AI, coding, or related fields are also essential for this role.

Experience with Microsoft Copilot or Copilot Studio, along with exposure to Databricks, Azure AI, Power Platform tools (such as Power Automate), or business process analysis and improvement, will be highly regarded.
