Help build the future at the intersection of medicine, law and AI.
MEDirect is a market-leading Australian scale-up led by Co-founders Sue and Oss, and we are building MEDirect 2.0, an AI-first platform that is reshaping how medico-legal work gets done. Report Studio, our AI-powered medico-legal report assistant, enters production beta in July 2026.
We are hiring a AI Project Coordinator to sit at the centre of MEDirect's transformation, working alongside Natalia Nishenia, our Senior Product & Delivery Manager. This is a full-time remote role with a competitive salary package on offer. You will work close to the engine of a transformational AI application running Jira and Confluence, capturing requirements, supporting UAT, and making sure nothing slips while multiple AI-first workstreams move in parallel.
If you want to learn how AI-first product delivery actually works from inside the team building it and see your work show up in the product every sprint, this is a standout opportunity.
About the role
This is a hands-on coordination role for someone with a builder mindset and the discipline to keep multiple workstreams running cleanly in parallel. The role sits at the centre of MEDirect's transformation you will be the operating rhythm of an AI-first product team.
You will own Jira and Confluence, prepare requirements for engineers, capture decisions out of workshops, support UAT, and produce reliable status for Nat and the founders. You will work across our product, engineering and design teams, and with Sue and Ross on milestone reporting.
You will report to Natalia Nishenia, Senior Product & Delivery Manager. This is a coordination role, not a project management role.
What you will be doing
• Track activities, milestones, dependencies, risks and actions across multiple MEDirect 2.0 workstreams.
• Maintain the Jira backlog — epic structure, ticket quality, sprint cadence — so engineering always has clean work to pick up.
• Maintain Confluence — meeting notes, decisions, BRDs, process maps, user journeys, the team knowledge base.
• Capture requirements, decisions and actions from workshops and stakeholder sessions, and translate them into clear, structured tickets.
• Support UAT preparation, defect tracking and release readiness.
• Coordinate handovers between business, product, design and engineering.
• Prepare weekly status updates for Nat and the founders. Surface blockers early.
What you will bring
• One to three years in project coordination, business analysis support, delivery coordination or a similar role.
• A builder mindset and real curiosity about AI tools. We are an AI-first business — everyone, including coordinators, is expected to use AI in their own work and rethink how things get done.
• Strong working experience with Jira and Confluence — not just using them, but maintaining them well.
• Excellent documentation skills. You write clearly and you keep things current.
• Attention to detail and the ability to run multiple workstreams in parallel without losing track.
• A confident communicator who can hold their own with engineers, designers and senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable with ambiguity. MEDirect 2.0 is being built; the brief will not always be stable.
Nice to have
• Experience in a scale-up environment, or genuine appetite for one.
• Exposure to Agile software delivery.
• UAT and testing support.
• Healthcare, legal, insurance or another regulated industry.
• Hands-on experience working with product, engineering or UX teams.
Why this role, now
MEDirect is transforming an entire category of work. Report Studio will reshape how medico-legal reports get produced in Australia. Coordinators who join us now will help define how an AI-first product team actually runs, rather than documenting a process someone else built. If you want that kind of work, the kind that compounds, this is the role.
