HIGH END is an Australian fashion resale marketplace using AI to authenticate designer clothing and accessories. The company connects verified buyers and sellers and powers Verity, a proprietary AI tool that detects counterfeits in seconds. Backed by leading investors, HIGH END is rapidly expanding at the intersection of fashion, trust, and technology, addressing the $1.8 trillion global counterfeit market.
 
The Software Engineer will play a key role in scaling both the consumer marketplace and the B2B AI authentication infrastructure. The successful candidate will work across app, web, and backend systems with a focus on developing scalable, secure, and high-performing features. This position requires technical ownership, innovation, and collaboration with the founding team in an agile environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain core systems across app, web, and backend platforms
• Own and manage CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and production reliability (AWS/Firebase)
• Work on Verity AI’s backend (Python/FastAPI) and integrate with Shopify and custom APIs
• Collaborate closely with the CEO and founding team in an agile workflow
• Lead product releases, feature upgrades, and technical strategy
• Ensure security, data compliance, and minimal platform downtime (SLA-based)

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in software engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Flutter, or related modern stacks
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Firebase, etc.)
• Ability to take ownership of a codebase and lead technical decisions
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• (Bonus) Experience with AI/ML, computer vision, or e-commerce platforms such as Shopify
• Passion for building purposeful technology that fosters trust and transparency

  Salary:
From $90,000-$110,000 per annum, plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
